Key Responsibilities
Deliver Inspiring Lessons: As an impactful
Science Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging Biology, Chemistry, and Physics lessons across
KS3 and KS4 (GCSE) aligned with the UK National Curriculum.
Full Curriculum Ownership: Take charge of full teaching responsibilities, including lab safety, lesson preparation, assessment, and constructive marking to accelerate pupil attainment.
Hands-On Learning: Facilitate safe, exciting practical experiments that help students connect theoretical concepts to real-world applications.
Differentiate Learning: Tailor instruction effectively to stretch high achievers while providing structured support for students developing core scientific understanding.
Departmental Contribution: Work closely with faculty peers to refine schemes of work, share resources, and support extra-curricular STEM clubs or revision sessions.
Candidate Profile
We are searching for an enthusiastic
Science Teacher who combines strong subject knowledge with an engaging, accessible teaching style.
Must hold
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS.
Proven track record of working as a
Science Teacher within a UK secondary school setting.
Strong commitment to practical safety, clear communication, and high expectations for pupil achievement.
Effective classroom and laboratory management skills grounded in positive reinforcement.
Holds an Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness to process one through Randstad).
