Summary

Our client, a reputable main dealer in Luton, is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their established team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional to work within a long-standing, family-run automotive business renowned for its commitment to quality service, technical excellence, and staff development.

Key Benefits of the Vehicle Technician:

- Basic salary circa £35,000, negotiable based on experience

- OTE £40,000

- Working hours Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

- 1 in 2 Saturday mornings, paid as overtime

Duties of the Vehicle Technician:

- Carrying out servicing and routine vehicle maintenance

- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults

- Using the latest diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately

- Performing repairs on brakes, suspension, steering, and other mechanical components

- Conducting vehicle inspections and safety checks

- Identifying additional work and reporting findings effectively

- Ensuring all work is completed to manufacturer standards and specifications

- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and productivity

- Adhering to health and safety procedures

- Collaborating effectively within a professional workshop team

Requirements of the Vehicle Technician:

- Qualified Vehicle Technician with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent

- Prior experience in a professional workshop environment

- Strong mechanical and diagnostic capabilities

- Good understanding of modern vehicle technology

- Excellent attention to detail and high standards of workmanship

- Ability to work efficiently both independently and within a team

- Professional attitude with a strong work ethic

- Full UK Driving Licence

- MOT Tester qualification is advantageous but not essential
