The Governors of St Michael’s CE Primary School are looking to appoint a reliable, hardworking and enthusiastic cleaner to join our friendly and caring school team. The successful candidate will play an important role in helping us maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our children, staff and visitors. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and understands the importance of maintaining high standards throughout the school.
We are looking for someone who:
Is reliable, responsible and takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Has a positive attitude and is able to work effectively as part of a team.
Is able to work independently and use their own initiative.
Has good attention to detail and takes pride in completing tasks to a high standard.
Is flexible and able to respond positively to the needs of a busy school environment.
Understands the importance of health and safety and safe working practices.
Is committed to creating a clean, safe and pleasant environment for our pupils, staff and visitors.
Has a friendly and approachable manner and will contribute positively to our school community.
Previous cleaning experience would be desirable.
Hours: 20 hours per week, term-time plus 2 weeks
Working pattern: 4 hours per day, Monday to Friday, outside of school hours
Start date: January 2027
