About the Role
Provide practical daily support, emotional encouragement, and promote independence for an individual with Autism and a Learning Disability requiring 2:1 staffing and structured routines. The service user communicates via gestures/non-verbal signs, requiring a team skilled in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and sensory integration. Support covers diet, hydration, personal care, and constant supervision. Activities include car rides, parks, swings, trampolining, walking, swimming, and family time.

Key responsibilities may include:
Support individuals with daily living tasks (cooking, cleaning, personal care including pad changes)
Promote independence and life skills development within a structured environment
Provide emotional support, sensory integration activities, and build positive relationships
Assist with medication management when trained
Help access the community, appointments, and outdoor social activities (swimming, parks, trampolining, car rides)
Support individual to maintain a healthy, balanced diet and hydration
Maintain close supervision to ensure safety and manage risk
Complete daily cash checks and accurately record all financial transactions
Maintain accurate records and report concerns to the care team
Ensure a safe, respectful, person-centred environment
Key Requirements
Age 25+ with a clean UK manual driving licence (to drive mobility vehicle); non-drivers considered for non-driving roles.
Flexible for 8-8 day/night shift rotations.
Training/willingness in Autism, PBS, and Sensory Integration.
Minimum 6 months professional care experience, UK Right to Work, and Enhanced DBS.
