Summary

Standard Trade Tasks: Carry out internal and external painting and decorating to a high craft standard. Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, patch plastering, and caulking. Coatings Application: Apply various coatings including emulsion, oil-based, acrylic, varnish, primers, and sealers. Wallcoverings: Hang standard and wide-width wallcoverings. Fabric Maintenance: Undertake minor fabric repairs such as tile and grout touch-ups or applying sealant. Technical Competence: Maintain competent use of hand and power tools. Condition Assessment: Perform basic defect recognition and surface condition assessments. Equipment Use: Ensure the safe use of access equipment. Operational Flexibility: Work across various sites and participate in occasional out-of-hours or shift work as required. Professional Development: Complete mandatory training and maintain ongoing competence.
