Summary
Are you passionate about helping people overcome barriers and achieve their potential?Exeter College is seeking another Employability Coach to support unemployed adults across Devon, with a particular focus on communities where employment opportunities can be more difficult to access, such as Tiverton, Honiton, Newton Abbot, Exeter and other areas.You will be part of a team of 4 employability coaches across Devon working for Exeter & North Devon Colleges group. The role is supported by our Group Lead for Employability, and a coordinator role who will help facilitate delivery and ensure we have the right adults receiving the right support from our team of employability coaches. These roles focus on delivering exceptional support in local towns in local settings. Working with adults who may face challenges such as low confidence, anxiety, caringresponsibilities or long-term unemployment, you will help individuals build confidence, develop employability skills and progress into education, employment or training. You will deliver engaging group activities and some one-to-one coaching, covering areas such as motivation, job searching, CV writing, interview skills and workplace readiness. You will also work closely with community organisations, Jobcentre Plus, referral partners and employers to create opportunities and positive progression routes for local residents.We're looking for someone with excellent communication skills, a passion for supporting people, and experience of coaching, mentoring, employability, community engagement or adult learning. A full driving licence is essential as travel across Exeterand the surrounding towns will be required.
