Summary

LOADING SHOVEL OPERATOR - SCUNTHORPE

We are seeking a reliable and safety‑focused

Loading Shovel Operator to join our busy team in

Scunthorpe.

This is an

ongoing position that may lead to a contract for the right candidate.

Location: Scunthorpe

⏰ Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off

  • 2 × Days: 6:00am - 6:00pm

  • 2 × Nights: 6:00pm - 6:00am

  • Applicants must be able to work both day and night shifts.

Pay Rates

  • Standard Rate: £17.13 per hour

  • Week day Overtime £22.27 per hour

  • Weekend Overtime £25.70 per hour

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year's experience operating a loading shovel

  • Valid loading shovel licence (CPCS/NPORS or equivalent)

  • Ability to work both days and nights

  • Strong awareness of site safety

  • Reliable, flexible and a team player

  • Good communication skills and a positive approach

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently operate loading shovel machinery

  • Move and manage materials and stockpiles

  • Feed production processes as required

  • Conduct daily equipment checks and report defects

  • Support yard and production teams

  • Maintain high standards of safety and housekeeping
