The Senior Neighbourhood Operative will help keep Colchester's streets clean and communities thriving, and will suit an active, enthusiastic individual who enjoys making a difference.

Duties of the Role

You will be responsible for litter picking, emptying litter and dog bins, and collecting fly-tipped waste across the city. You will help identify and address environmental issues such as graffiti, vandalism and litter, ensuring they are dealt with promptly. You will also share relevant information with Wardens to support enforcement activities and help maintain clean, safe and welcoming neighbourhoods.

We are looking for a motivated and adaptable individual with a positive "See it, Solve it" attitude. You will be comfortable working outdoors, using a smartphone for reporting and communication, and working a shift pattern that includes early mornings, evenings and one weekend in six. You will take pride in delivering excellent services, working with local communities, and upholding the values of Colchester City Council.
