Summary
We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Water Framework team based in Harpenden, Hertfordshire.
Location: Harpenden, HertfordshireHours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a vital role in the commercial management of our Water Framework project during the construction phase. Working within a collaborative team environment, you'll have the opportunity to contribute your expertise whilst supporting and developing junior colleagues. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on exciting infrastructure projects whilst enjoying flexible, hybrid working arrangements.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the commercial team, supporting them in delivering successful project outcomes. Your day to day will include:
-Ensuring compliance with procurement strategies, including managing subcontract inquiries and tender reviews
-Managing valuations, project cashflows, and preparing monthly cost reports with trend analysis
-Providing legal and contractual advice on orders, changes, and subcontractor administration
-Driving commercial initiatives and producing margin improvement plans to maximize opportunities
-Leading and mentoring junior staff, ensuring targets and deadlines are consistently met
What are we looking for?
This role of Senior Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:
-You hold a relevant academic qualification in a construction-related degree
-You have a Full driving licence
-You have demonstrable experience working in a commercial role for a contractor
-You have experience working with a variety of contract forms
-You thrive working collaboratively as part of a team
