Summary
Room Leader – Early Years
Up to £32,000 per year
This purpose-built nursery has been thoughtfully designed for babies, toddlers and pre-school children, with bright, light and spacious rooms tailored to each stage of development. Each room has direct access to its own outdoor space, making it easy for children to move between indoor and outdoor play while building their confidence, curiosity and physical skills.
As Room Leader, you’ll take the lead within your room, combining hands-on Early Years practice with the responsibility of supporting your team and creating consistently engaging experiences for the children in your care.
What We’re Looking For
A
full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above
Previous
experience within a nursery or Early Years setting
Room Leader, Senior Practitioner or similar experience would be beneficial
Strong knowledge of the
EYFS and child development
Confidence leading, supporting and motivating a room team
A good understanding of how to create engaging
indoor and outdoor learning experiences
Strong safeguarding and child protection knowledge
A warm and nurturing approach with children
Good communication skills with families and colleagues

Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of your room
Lead and support practitioners to provide consistently high-quality care and education
Create engaging experiences based around children’s interests and developmental needs
Make full use of the nursery’s
free-flow indoor and outdoor environments
Encourage children’s confidence, independence and physical development
Observe children’s progress and plan meaningful next steps
Maintain stimulating and age-appropriate learning environments
Build strong relationships with parents and carers
Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and wellbeing
