Summary
We're looking for a Community Steward Support Officer to join our Wellingborough team based in Wellingborough. In this role you'll play a key role in the customer experience by providing operational and administrative support to Community Stewards across the highways service.
Location: Wellingborough - site based 5 days per weekHours: Permanent Fulltime 40 hours per weekSalary: £30,000 - £35,000 per year + excellent benefitsWe are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role
What will you be responsible for?
As a Community Steward Support Officer, you'll help strengthen service resilience by improving first-time triage, reducing duplication and delays, and supporting backlog prevention. Your day to day will include:
-Supporting the accurate triage and processing of HORT reports by reviewing evidence, checking for duplicates, and ensuring jobs are raised or routed correctly
-Providing practical and operational support to Community Stewards, including site assistance and delivery of materials
-Helping improve service resilience by identifying recurring issues and supporting backlog prevention
-Assisting during periods of high demand and contributing to process improvements across the highways service
-Maintaining accurate records and responding to urgent requests while prioritising competing work
What are we looking for?
This Community Steward Support Officer role could be a great fit if you:
-Hold a full driving licence and are comfortable travelling across the network as required
-Possess a LANTRA Highways Inspection Certificate and relevant traffic management qualifications
-Are confident using mobile and desktop technology to review photographs, records, reports and work information accurately
-Have strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess information, identify gaps, avoid duplication and make informed, evidence-based decisions
-Communicate clearly and professionally, building positive relationships with operational teams, customers and key stakeholders
