Summary
Lead, coach and develop high-performing teams where members feel valued, supported and accountable.
Support the Head of Radiology in ensuring high-quality services to patients, visitors and staff.
Maximise operational and performance management standards and achieve optimum resource management.
Ensure good and clear communication across Radiology and with internal and external partners.
Provide senior operational leadership across designated Radiology services and sites, ensuring safe, effective, patient-centered and financially sustainable delivery.
Hold delegated accountability for pay and non-pay budgets and deliver agreed cost improvement, productivity and value-for-money objectives without compromising quality or safety.
Lead demand and capacity planning, waiting-list recovery and utilisation improvement across all modalities.
Ensure robust governance, risk management, incident learning, complaints handling and assurance arrangements are in place.
Lead service redesign, digital optimisation, workforce transformation and business-case development aligned with Trust and system priorities.Deputise for the Deputy Head of Radiology and represent the service at divisional, Trust and external forums as required.
The post holder is responsible for the operational management, performance, quality, workforce, financial and strategic delivery of Radiology Services across the Trust.
The post holder will have line management responsibility for Radiology administrative, booking and clerical services and will work closely with the Head of Radiology, Deputy Head of Radiology, Radiology Clinical Leads, Radiology superintendents, modality leads, consultants and operational teams to manage the service, plan developments and support delivery of safe and effective care.
The post holder will have delegated accountability for designated pay and non-pay budgets, workforce and operational performance, and will exercise senior independent judgement in managing complex service pressures across multiple sites.
The post holder will deputise for the Head of Radiology when required and provide visible senior operational leadership during periods of escalation, service disruption or organisational change.
The post holder will lead designated projects and transformation programmes within Radiology, ensuring that key performance, financial, operational, quality and clinical outcomes are achieved and sustained.
The post holder will be responsible for delivery of national diagnostic standards, including DM01, cancer diagnostic pathways, RTT-related diagnostics and other local and national access requirements.
