What You'll Be Doing

As a

Graduate Secondary Teaching Assistant, you'll work alongside teachers and school staff to support pupils with their learning, development and overall engagement in school.

Your responsibilities may include:

Supporting teachers with the delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons

Providing

1:1 and small-group support to pupils

Helping students develop their knowledge, confidence and independent learning skills

Delivering targeted academic interventions where appropriate

Supporting pupils who require additional guidance with their learning

Working with students with

SEND and helping remove barriers to learning

Encouraging positive behaviour and helping students develop confidence, resilience and independence

Assisting with lesson preparation, classroom organisation and learning resources

Providing additional support to students throughout the school day

Building positive and professional relationships with students and staff

Helping create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment

Supporting the wider school team with pastoral and student support when required

What We're Looking For

We're looking for graduates who are

enthusiastic, reliable and genuinely interested in working with young people, with a clear ambition to develop a career within secondary education.

You'll ideally have:

A

First Class, 2:1 or 2:2 degree in any subject

A genuine passion for working with young people

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

A patient, positive and proactive approach

The confidence to build positive relationships with secondary-aged students

The ability to remain calm and professional in a busy school environment

A willingness to learn from experienced teachers and school leaders

The motivation to develop your classroom and communication skills

A genuine ambition to pursue a

long-term career in education

The right to work in the UK on a full-time basis

Previous experience working with children or young people, tutoring or working within a school is beneficial but not essential.

What matters most is your

attitude, enthusiasm, reliability and willingness to learn.
