A well-established, privately owned group with a strong reputation in its sector is entering an exciting phase of growth and transformation. As part of its ongoing development, the business is creating a new Head of Finance position to provide greater financial leadership, insight and control across the group. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a rare opportunity to shape the finance function and play a key role in the future direction of the business.

Your new role

As Head of Finance, you will take ownership of the entire finance function across a multi-entity group, leading a small finance team whilst partnering closely with operational stakeholders and the senior leadership team. Key responsibilities will include:

Leading and developing the finance function across multiple entities.

Producing accurate and timely monthly management accounts and board reporting.

Building robust forecasting, budgeting and cashflow management processes.

Enhancing financial controls, systems and reporting frameworks.

Providing commercial insight to support business performance and strategic decision-making.

Managing statutory reporting, audit processes and compliance requirements.

Driving continuous improvement across finance processes and reporting.

Acting as a trusted business partner to the Managing Director and wider leadership team.

What you'll need to succeed

ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.

Previous experience leading a finance function within an SME or multi-company group environment.

Proven ability to build management reporting, forecasting and financial controls from the ground up.

Strong multi-entity accounting experience.

A hands-on and commercially minded approach with excellent stakeholder management skills.

Ambition to grow with the business and help shape its future direction.
