Summary
Supporting Care Barking and Dagenham is looking for caring, reliable and dedicated Domiciliary Care Workers to provide person-centred care and support to clients in their own homes in the Newham area (Manor Park, Stratford, Forest gate, Canning Town, East Ham).
The role involves providing care and support with daily living, including personal care, washing and dressing, toileting, continence care, mobility, meals, medication where trained, companionship and maintaining the client's dignity and independence.
This is a community-based, field-based role. Care workers will travel to clients' homes to provide care. Calls can be approximately 30 minutes, 45 minutes, 1 hour or longer depending on the client's care needs. There may be multiple calls throughout the day, including morning, lunchtime, tea-time and bedtime calls.
Applicants must be able to travel to clients' homes in the Newham area. Please note that travel time and travel expenses between the worker's home and the client's location are not paid.
Previous care experience is desirable, but suitable applicants may be considered for training. An appropriate DBS check, references and right-to-work checks will be required.
