Working Arrangements: Hybrid working model - May require attendance at multiple customer locations - Participation in planned out-of-hours changes and project implementations when required.

We are seeking an experienced IT Support Consultant / End User Computing Engineer to join a busy Shared Technology Services team, providing 3rd line support and technical expertise across secure remote access and endpoint services.

The role has a strong focus on Palo Alto GlobalProtect, alongside Microsoft Intune, Windows 10/11, endpoint security and remote working technologies. You will work closely with Network, Security, Infrastructure and Service Desk teams to deliver secure, reliable and high-quality IT services.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced EUC/IT Support professional with strong GlobalProtect and Intune expertise to take a key role in delivering secure, modern and reliable end-user technology services.

Key Responsibilities

Administer, configure and support Palo Alto GlobalProtect VPN solutions.

Troubleshoot complex VPN, authentication, certificate and connectivity issues.

Manage VPN profiles, policies, client settings and endpoint compliance.

Provide 3rd line technical support and act as an escalation point for complex EUC issues.

Administer Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager, including policies, compliance and application deployment.

Support Windows 10/11 devices, software packaging and application deployment.

Support Entra ID, Conditional Access and endpoint compliance.

Work with Network and Security teams on VPN, ZTNA and Prisma Access initiatives.

Support remote desktop technologies including AVD, Windows 365, RDS and RemoteApp.

Produce technical documentation, implementation plans and knowledge articles.

Contribute to projects, technology refreshes and continuous service improvement.

Provide some supervision and support to junior staff/apprentices.

Essential Experience

Strong hands-on experience supporting Palo Alto GlobalProtect VPN.

Good understanding of Prisma Access and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA).

Strong knowledge of VPN, SAML, LDAP, MFA and certificate-based authentication.

Proven experience administering Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager.

Strong Windows 10/11 troubleshooting and application deployment experience.

Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Conditional Access and endpoint compliance.

Strong networking fundamentals including DNS, TCP/IP, routing and firewalls.

Experience supporting AVD, Windows 365, RDS or RemoteApp.

PowerShell scripting and automation skills.

Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Strong communication, customer service and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable

Palo Alto certification such as PCNSA, PCNSE or equivalent.

Further Prisma Access experience.

Experience with F5, DirectAccess, Always-On VPN or Zscaler.

Public Sector / Local Government IT experience.

Knowledge of Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO 27001 and security best practice.
