Salary: £26,000 – £32,000 per annum, plus bonus

Hours: Monday – Friday

Working Pattern: Office based with ad-hoc remote working available

The Role

Koala Accounting is looking to recruit an experienced Limited Company Accountant to join its team in Hooton.

This is a varied, client-facing position responsible for managing a portfolio of limited company contractor clients and supporting them across their accounting, tax, payroll and statutory filing requirements.

The successful candidate will ideally have at least two years' experience within an accountancy practice and be comfortable managing client relationships via telephone, email and Teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage a portfolio of limited company contractor clients, from initial discussions through to ongoing account management.

- Maintain accurate client information using CRM-based software.

- Incorporate new limited companies and support clients through the setup process.

- Liaise regularly with clients via telephone, email and online portals.

- Prepare, complete and submit statutory filings to HMRC and Companies House.

- Prepare company accounts and CT600 Corporation Tax returns.

- Prepare and submit VAT returns.

- Register and process payroll for limited companies.

- Discuss tax-efficient ways of operating through a limited company with clients.

- Conduct regular profit & loss reviews and tax-planning discussions with company directors.

- Prepare and submit Self Assessment tax returns using digital accounting software.

- Ensure client records, deadlines and statutory requirements are managed accurately and efficiently.

Skills & Experience

To be considered for the role, you should have:

- A minimum of 2 years' experience within an accountancy practice.

- AAT or ACCA qualification/part qualification, or equivalent experience.

- Candidates qualified by experience (QBE) will also be considered.

- Experience or a good working knowledge of payroll.

- Knowledge of personal and limited company taxation.

- Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce professional client emails.

- Confidence communicating directly with clients via telephone and Teams.

- Strong organisation and attention to detail.

- Experience using digital accounting software would be advantageous.
