Purpose of the Role
Acer Academy is a special school for pupils aged 1116 with a diagnosis of Autism and/or Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The academy is part of Kings Academy Trust and is committed to providing a high-quality, inclusive and personalised education for all learners.

As a Teaching Assistant Level 3, you will play a key role in supporting pupils’ academic, social and emotional development. Working under the direction of teaching and senior staff, you will:
- Support access to learning across a broad and adapted curriculum
- Deliver planned learning activities to individuals, small groups and occasionally whole classes
- Support pupils to overcome barriers to learning and develop independence
- Contribute to a consistent, trauma-informed and relational approach to behaviour and engagement
- Help prepare pupils for successful transition into adulthood and greater independence
