The role offers the opportunity to join a local driving operation, delivering refrigerated produced goods as well as a mix of trailer swaps on the route. The company offer a variety of shift patterns and pay can also vary depending on experience.The roleAs an HGV Class 1 Driver, your responsibilities will include:• Driving an HGV Class 1 vehicle safely and responsibly• Completing planned deliveries and collections as well as safe manouvers of trailer swaps• Carrying out fridge work and handling temperature-controlled loads• Completing vehicle checks before and after each journey• Ensuring paperwork and delivery records are completed accurately• Following road safety, transport and site procedures• Representing the business professionally when dealing with customers and delivery pointsAbout youYou should have:• A valid HGV Class 1 licence• Relevant commercial driving experience - at least 1 year• Experience of fridge work or temperature-controlled deliveries• A professional and dependable approach• Good knowledge of safe driving practices and no more than 6 points• The ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules• Good communication and organisational skillsBenefits• £18.00 to £20.00 per hour• Permanent, day-shift or night-shift employment• Paid every Wednesday• Visibility to local employersIf you are a reliable HGV Class 1 Driver with fridge work experience and are looking for a permanent day/night or weekend role in Pershore, apply today.
