We are seeking a professional and safety-focused Class 1 HGV Driver to join our Transport team. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of temperature-controlled and perishable goods across our distribution network, ensuring the highest standards of food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance are maintained at all times.
Working within a fast-paced environment, you will support airport collections, warehouse transfers, and customer deliveries while protecting the integrity of sensitive products throughout the supply chain. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with company procedures, UK transport legislation, and BRC food safety standardsWe operate a 4 on 4 off shift basis
How you create impact
- Operate Class 1 (Category C+E) vehicles safely and professionally.
- Complete scheduled collections and deliveries, including airport collections, warehouse transfers, and customer deliveries
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on time.Return airline ULDs (Unit Load Devices) as required.Conduct pre-use, in-transit, and end-of-shift vehicle inspections and report any defects promptly.
- Comply with all road transport legislation, driver hours regulations, and company operating procedures.

Ensure temperature-controlled equipment is set correctly and maintained throughout transportation.

Monitor and protect the integrity of temperature-sensitive products.

Escalate and report any temperature deviations or product quality concerns immediately.

Maintain accurate records relating to load temperatures and transportation activities.

Ensure products remain secure and protected from damage throughout transit
What we would like you to bring
- Valid UK Class 1 (Category C+E) Driving Licence.
- Driver CPC qualification.Digital Tachograph Card.
- Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Regulations.Knowledge of load security requirements and vehicle safety checks.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.Professional, reliable, and customer-focused approach.
- Ability to undertake manual handling activities where required.Flexible approach to working hours, including early starts and overtime

Previous experience within temperature-controlled, food, freight, or perishable logistics environment (desirable)
