-1 week - 06:00 - 14:00 | 5 weeks - 08:00 - 16:00 | 1 week - 14:00 - 22:00 (Friday 13:00 - 21:00)
At Mitie, our people are our greatest strength. We are looking for a safety-focused Permit to Work Administrator to support compliant and efficient operations across the AstraZeneca site.
You will manage permit-to-work activities, support fire safety requirements, handle gas cylinders safely and ensure all work complies with statutory regulations, AstraZeneca SHE policies and GMP/GxP standards.
Role Responsibilities
-Issue and manage permits for high-risk work, including hot works, confined spaces and working at height.
-Check Safe Systems of Work, risk assessments and isolations before authorising activities.
-Maintain permit registers and complete site compliance checks.
-Conduct weekly fire alarm tests and maintain accurate records.
-Act as a Fire Marshal and support evacuations, drills and fire safety inspections.
-Safely receive, inspect, store, transport and connect gas cylinders.
-Support contractors, site inspections, hazard reporting and compliance audits.
-Promote safe working practices and continuous improvement across the site.
What We're Looking For
-Experience in Facilities Management or site operations within a regulated environment.
-Good knowledge of permit-to-work systems and Safe Systems of Work.
-Understanding of risk assessments and how to complete, review and use to support permit authorisations.
-Strong communication, organisation and record-keeping skills.
-Excellent computer literacy with desired knowledge of using CAFM systems.
