Join our vibrant nursery and preschool team at Bournville Primary School in Weston-super-Mare, where we deliver exceptional learning experiences for our youngest children.We’re looking for a caring, energetic nursery assistant who’s ready to make a real difference in children’s lives. You’ll work alongside a skilled and supportive team within our high-quality Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) provision.Hours: 22 hours per week, including 22 INSET hours per academic year (term time only)Salary: £13,318.86 per yearPermanent contractClosing date: 15 September 2026Interview date: 21 September 2026Start date: as soon as possibleWhat you’ll do• Support high-quality teaching and learning across the EYFS curriculum• Help plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities• Create nurturing, stimulating environments where children feel safe and inspired• Work closely with families, staff, and the wider school community• Promote the values of our school and multi-academy trustWhat we’re looking for• A positive, flexible team player• Creative, enthusiastic, and motivational in your approach• Calm, consistent, and supportive with a nurturing nature• Passionate about helping children grow and thrive• Experience with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) is desirable• Knowledge of speech and language development and Makaton is a plus• Proactive, energetic, and committed to meaningful learning• Patient, sensitive, and confident in comforting children• Strong understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practiceWhy join us?
