Salary: £30,188-£34,452 (pro rata for part time and sessional)
Hours: 27.5 per week
Oxgangs Primary School and Nursery is a non-denominational school which is situated in the Southwest of Edinburgh. We aim to ensure that all our children are supported and challenged to achieve. As a school community we continually work to embody our values of respect, kindness, resilience and achievement, both in our learning and in our relationships.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively as a member of the staff team and will play a key role in supporting children and their families with emotional health and wellbeing. The role will involve delivering programmes and approaches which support emotional wellbeing with individuals and with small groups. The PSO will build links with families to promote engagement with children's learning and wellbeing.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
