Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Developer and Support Analyst to join the Information Services team. This role is responsible for the development, support and enhancement of the University's applications, databases and integrations, helping to deliver reliable, secure and effective digital services.

Working closely with stakeholders across the University, you will analyse requirements, develop technical solutions, support business-critical systems, and contribute to projects that improve business processes and user experience. The role also includes maintaining existing systems, supporting the modernisation of legacy applications, and providing technical support for a range of business systems.

Key responsibilities include:

Developing, maintaining and supporting applications, databases and system integrations.

Designing and implementing solutions using technologies such as MS SQL, C#, PHP, Entity Framework, Oracle and web technologies.

Working with stakeholders to identify requirements and deliver system improvements.

Testing, deploying and supporting software developments and enhancements.

Providing technical support, troubleshooting and problem resolution.

Supporting database administration, security, resilience and data integrity.

Maintaining technical documentation and contributing to digital transformation projects.

Essential criteria:

Experience developing, supporting and maintaining applications, databases and integrations.

Strong technical skills in relevant development technologies, including MS SQL, C#, PHP and web technologies.

Experience translating business requirements into effective technical solutions.

Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Experience delivering system developments, enhancements and support services.

Ability to manage workloads effectively and work collaboratively with stakeholders.

Commitment to delivering secure, reliable and high-quality digital services.

Welsh language skills: Desirable
