Summary

Who we’re looking for:

We are recruiting a detail-oriented and self-motivated Finance Transaction Assistant to join our busy finance team working within a teaching intensive higher education University. You will be responsible for accurate and timely processing of a high volume of financial transactions, helping to maintain precision across our ledgers and you will become a key point of contact for transactional queries and knowledge. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to build a career in finance within a supportive and collaborative environment.

What you’d be doing:

The Transaction assistant works as part of a transactions team supporting with core admin tasks to help things run smoothly. We need someone motivated and confident who is good at building positive working relationships, has a customer focus and who has a passion for detail and accuracy, good digital skills & confidence.

It is ideal if you have previous finance experience and even better if this is within an HE setting – however this is not a dealbreaker. We are more interested in recruiting someone who is enthusiastic, positive and able to apply their knowledge to a new organisation.

Where you’ll work:

In this role, you’ll be based in the Finance team, on our green campus in the north of Plymouth. We’re a small, close-knit team who work together closely to deliver an outstanding service to our colleagues from all business areas. Marjon is a teaching intensive university with exceptional record in student experience.

Our current hybrid working policy means you can work from home or on campus, but you will be required to maintain strong campus links and will work onsite at ideally 3 days per week.
