JoinSodexo as a Security Guard in Birmingham and play an important role in keepingour people, customers and site safe and secure.
You’llbe part of a professional security team, responsible for maintaining a safeenvironment, controlling access to the site and responding confidently toincidents when they arise. From regular patrols and monitoring CCTV tosupporting emergency situations and recording incidents accurately, you’ll helpensure the site runs safely and smoothly.

What you’ll do:
- Maintain site security and vigilance by monitoring for intruders, patrolling the premises, checking doors, windows and gates, and controlling access and egress to the site.
- Monitor security systems, including CCTV, access control and fire alarm systems, and contact emergency services via ADT when required.
- Respond to and manage incidents, including calls for assistance, violence or aggression, and physically intervening or removing individuals from the building where necessary and appropriate.
- Carry out searches and enforce site procedures, including staff, client and visitor searches, vehicle parking requirements, and Sodexo/NPS policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and provide support to authorities, including recording incidents in the Daily Occurrence Book, preparing reports and witness statements for the Police, and attending Magistrates’ or Crown Court to give evidence when required.
What you'llbring:
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to write clear and accurate reports, logs and statements.
- Organised and methodical, with good attention to detail, analytical skills and the ability to manage data accurately.
- Able to prioritise workloads, manage time effectively and work at pace while maintaining accuracy and high personal standards.
- Customer-focused, with the ability to build positive relationships and communicate confidently with clients, customers and colleagues at all levels.
- Flexible, reliable and resilient, with the ability to respond to different needs, manage pressure, use initiative and adapt to changing work patterns.
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence, knowledge of health and safety and confidentiality,
and able to follow Sodexo policies and procedures.
