Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Sexual Health and HIV team.

The Healthcare Support Worker (HSW) will offer nursing, phlebotomy, administrative and general clinical assistance to the Sexual Health and HIV team.

The HSW will liaise closely with and report directly to the Lead Nurses for Sexual Health. The HSW will work under the direct supervision of a first level registered nurse and within guidelines and protocols.

We are currently unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role.Applicants who already hold a visa that allows them to work in the UK are welcome to apply. However, the Trust will not be able to offer sponsorship once that visa expires. For induction, training and operational reasons, applicants must also have at least 12 months remaining on their visa at the start of employment.

Summary of main duties and responsibilities

1. Knowledge of HIV and Sexual Health:1. To have an appropriate knowledge of HIV and Sexual Health, and the treatment and management of these conditions.

2. To promote a sensitive and caring approach to patient, visitors and colleagues.

3. Refer on to senior nursing/medical team any significant clinical issues/unwell patients.

2. To be a part of the HIV and Sexual Health Care Team, providing high quality holistic care to clients accessing HIV, Sexual Health, Contraceptive and Reproductive Healthcare Services.

3. To provide clinical and clerical support within the HIV and Sexual Health team.
