Summary
Kenect Recruitment is looking to hire a Van Delivery Driver in Dordon, Tamworth (B78 1TX).
• Note: This job is for Kenect Recruitment but will take place at a client’s worksite
• Salary: Between £14.40 - £18.83 per hour – plus holiday pay accrued at a rate of 12.07%
• Temp-permanent opportunity for the right driver(s)
Want to join our team as a Van Delivery Driver?
• We’re seeking an experienced, customer-facing van delivery driver. You would be expected to work five evenings each week between Sundays and Fridays
• Our client’s distribution network comprises of 18 depots nationwide, enabling them to make over 11,500 daily deliveries of chilled and frozen food produce to third party customers
• From the simple sandwich to a range of chilled foods, our client’s customer’s need fresh stock delivering daily
About the role:
• Between 15-25 deliveries per shift
• Deliveries are made to retail outlets throughout the greater Midlands areas
• You must be prepared to unload and help load vehicles as-and-when needed
• Physically demanding
• On-the-job paid training is provided
Shift pattern:
• Evening shifts between Sundays and Fridays each week
• Start times are between 16.00pm– 18.00pm
• No Saturday work
• Rotating rest day off between Sunday and Friday
• Routes planned for between 8-10 hours in duration
• 5 shifts per week
Pay rates:
• £14.40 p/h for midweek hours worked between 06.00-22.00
• £15.55 p/h for midweek hours worked 22.00-06.00
• £15.55 p/h for weekend hours worked
• £18.83 p/h for hours worked after 42 hours each week
• £0.50 p/h pay increase when taken on permanent (within 12 weeks)

So that’s all the good stuff – what about the essentials?
• Must have held a valid UK driving licence for a minimum of 6 months
• Must have experience driving 3.5 tonne vehicles (ideally refrigerated)
• Must be prepared to drive manual vehicles – no automatic vehicles available
• Must be prepared to work Sunday evenings
• Must have no more than 3 penalty points on license for minor offences
• Must have a high-visibility vest or jacket and safety boots
• Must be prepared to attend a paid driving assessment and induction prior to starting
