Kirknewton Primary School and ELC is a non-denominational school serving the village of Kirknewton and the surrounding community. The school sits within the Balerno High School cluster. At present, the total school and nursery roll is 190 pupils.

The school has well developed and mutually successful and supportive partnership links with local community groups and businesses. We have earned a good reputation within the community and we are very well supported by the wider parent forum.

We are seeking an enthusiastic Supervisory Assistant to join our school team to provide support during lunch time, Monday to Thursday 12:15pm – 1.30pm.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to commencing employment and the cost will be met by the candidate.

The fee for a Full PVG Scheme Membership is £59 or Existing Member is £18. The £59 cost (where appropriate) will be deducted from your salary over a 1 or 3-month period by repayment schedule. If your employment concludes before the amount is re-paid in full, the outstanding balance will be deducted from your final salary.
