Summary

Be Part of Something Special from the Very Beginning

This is an exciting opportunity to join a small newly opening children's home and help shape a service where young people can truly thrive. If you're passionate about making a lasting difference in the lives of children and young people, and you're looking for the next step in your residential childcare career, we'd love to hear from you.

At Honeycomb Care Children's Services, we believe every child deserves to feel safe, valued, and empowered to achieve their potential. We support young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) through a therapeutic, trauma-informed approach that focuses on building trust, resilience, and positive futures.

What makes this opportunity unique is the strength behind the service. Our children's home is led by a highly experienced leadership team with significant expertise in residential childcare, safeguarding, and therapeutic practice. We are also supported by an Outstanding-rated CQC adult provision, reflecting our organisation's commitment to delivering exceptional care, strong governance, and positive outcomes for the people we support.

As a new service, you'll have the opportunity to help develop a positive culture from day one. We are creating an environment where children feel listened to, respected, and encouraged to express themselves openly. We recognise that behaviour is communication and respond with empathy, consistency, and therapeutic support, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to heal, grow, and succeed.

The Role

As a Senior Residential Childcare Practitioner, you will play a pivotal role in creating a safe, nurturing, and aspirational home environment. Working closely with the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager, you will help deliver exceptional standards of care, champion positive outcomes for young people, and provide leadership and support to colleagues on shift.

You will be a positive role model for both children and staff, helping to create meaningful relationships, encourage achievement, and maintain a culture where children feel secure, supported, and valued.

This position is ideal for an experienced residential childcare professional seeking career progression. We are committed to developing our people, and this role provides a clear pathway towards Deputy Manager and future leadership opportunities within a growing organisation.
