Night Shift Counterbalance Forklift Truck Driver - Holiday Cover
The Best Connection are currently seeking to recruit a Night Shift Counterbalance Forklift Truck Driver for holiday cover on behalf of our client based in Newton Aycliffe.
We are looking for an experienced Night Shift Counterbalance Forklift Truck Driver to provide holiday cover from Sunday 13th September until Friday 18th September.
The successful Night Shift Counterbalance Forklift Truck Driver will have previous experience working in a warehouse environment, be confident operating a Counterbalance FLT, have experience loading and unloading double-decker trailers, and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
The role:
- Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently.
- Loading and unloading palletised goods.
- Loading and unloading double-decker trailers.
- Preparing vehicles for HGV drivers to ensure timely departures.
- Working independently during the night shift.
- Following instructions and work schedules provided by the Warehouse Manager.
- Completing all relevant paperwork accurately and on time.
- Maintaining high standards of health and safety within the warehouse.
- Ensuring goods are prepared efficiently for the transport operation.
The candidate:
The ideal Night Shift Counterbalance Forklift Truck Driver will have:
- A valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence.
- Previous experience working in a warehouse environment.
- Experience loading and unloading trailers using a Counterbalance FLT.
- Experience working with double-decker trailers.
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- A reliable, punctual and hardworking approach.
- Availability for the full holiday cover period.
Hours of work:
- 22:00 start Sunday to Friday
- 05:00 finish
- Holiday cover: Sunday 13th September - Friday 18th September
- No weekend work required.
Pay Rate:
- £14.65 per hour
