This is an excellent opportunity to build a career in street lighting. We are seeking a highly motivated individual, either at the beginning of their career or in the early stages of their professional development, to join our team as a Technician (Lighting Design & Construction).

The team plays a key role in supporting the delivery of the street lighting replacement programme and associated administrative functions, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, Council policies and relevant legislation The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of a high-quality service that helps maintain and improve the Council’s street lighting infrastructure.

Salary range, Single status FC3-FC6 placement depending on skills, knowledge, experience and qualifications. Permanent, based at Bankhead Central, Glenrothes.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Lead Consultant to meet agreed targets/priorities.

Liaise directly with members of the public, Cllrs, etc.

Assist in the delivery of the unit’s street lighting column replacement programme.

Liaise with other teams and other internal / external parties as necessary.

Design, draft and prepare documentation.

Supervise the activities of contractors and sub-contractors.

Assist in the monitoring of budgets and performance for various activities and provide information as required.

Produce reports and other documentation as required.

Ensure compliance with current Health and Safety legislation.
