Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced CPCS Banksman to join our team for a 5-month project based in Cramlington. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of machinery on-site, working closely with the telehandler and other team members.
Responsibilities
- Safely direct and guide the movement of machinery and vehicles on-site, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols.
- Work alongside the telehandler, providing clear and effective communication to ensure efficient operations.
- Monitor and manage site traffic to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular checks to ensure all equipment and machinery are in proper working condition.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to ensure project timelines are met.
Qualifications
- Valid CPCS or NPORS card with the CSCS logo.
- Current Safety Critical Medical certification.
- Proven experience as a Banksman, preferably in a construction or industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to remain focused and attentive in a fast-paced environment.
Day-to-Day
- Start each day with a safety briefing and equipment checks.
- Coordinate with the telehandler operator to ensure smooth and safe operations.
- Direct and bank machinery and vehicles, maintaining clear communication at all times.
- Monitor site activities to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Provide support to other team members as needed to ensure project efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities and report any issues to the site supervisor.
