Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to join my clients growing Water team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer with a passion for delivering resilient and sustainable infrastructure solutions across the water and wastewater sector. You'll play a key role in the design and delivery of major projects, working alongside multidisciplinary teams and supporting some of the UK's leading water utility clients.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer, you'll contribute to the successful delivery of projects from concept and optioneering through to detailed design and construction support.
You'll be involved in a diverse range of infrastructure projects, including:
- Reinforced concrete structures
- Water-retaining structures
- Buried and underground structures
- Wastewater treatment assets
- Pumping stations and hydraulic structures
- Retaining walls and foundation design
- Asset refurbishment and upgrade programmes
Working within multidisciplinary teams, you'll collaborate with civil, structural, process, mechanical, electrical and geotechnical specialists to develop practical, innovative and buildable engineering solutions.
What You'll Do
- Lead and undertake civil and/or structural design activities across water and wastewater projects.
- Prepare and review engineering calculations, technical reports and design documentation.
- Deliver reinforced concrete and structural designs for water-retaining and buried structures.
- Support the technical delivery of major AMP8 programmes and capital investment schemes.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers and graduates.
- Manage project deliverables to quality, programme and budget requirements.
- Engage confidently with clients, contractors and internal project teams.
- Support the development of concept, outline and detailed design solutions.
- Undertake hydraulic and civil infrastructure design associated with treatment and network assets.
- Coordinate design inputs across multidisciplinary project teams.
About You
We're looking for someone with approximately
5+ years' experience in civil and/or structural engineering, ideally gained within the UK water sector.
You'll bring:
- Experience designing
- Knowledge of

- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience delivering civil engineering designs for infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of water and wastewater assets and associated design standards.
- Understanding of drainage, pipelines, pumping stations and treatment infrastructure

Desirable:
- Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or working towards chartership.
- Experience working within major UK water frameworks.
