Summary

Financial Account manager duties to maintain continuity of its financial management and reporting functions. This is a managerial responsibility for the College’s financial accounts, internal controls, reconciliations, reporting, funding administration and stakeholder relationships. The postholder will oversee the accurate recording and verification of income, expenditure, tuition fees, supplier payments, assets and liabilities; manage bank, ledger, student-account and control-account reconciliations; investigate discrepancies; and prepare management accounts, budgets, cash-flow forecasts and periodic financial reports. The manager will administer student loans, bursaries, tenders and educational funding arrangements, identify suitable educational grants, prepare grant applications and supporting budgets, liaise with awarding organisations, monitor awarded funds and ensure compliance with grant conditions. The role also involves maintaining relationships with students, schools, local authorities, government and public-sector organisations, banks, insurers, accountants and auditors; strengthening financial controls; and supervising transactional finance activities.
