Summary

Are you eager to make a direct, tangible impact on autistic children's growth while accelerating your career path?

In this SEN Teaching Assistant role, you will support students individually or within small classroom settings. Applying positive reinforcement along with behavioural teaching methods, you will create and implement personalised learning sessions to foster academic progress, strengthen social abilities, and empower pupils to achieve their highest potential.

We operate a strict no-sponsorship policy; all applicants must have the permanent right to work in the UK.

Working Hours: Mon, Wed, Thu (8:45am - 4:45pm) | Tue (8:45am - 5:30pm) | Fri (8:45am - 4:30pm) 36.75 hours per week (Full-time). Part-time options available (minimum 3 days/week, must include Tuesdays and Fridays).

Responsibilities

  • Plan and lead lessons to support students' social and emotional growth as well as helping pupils achieve the highest level of academic success.

  • Use structured techniques to help students thrive and maintain a calm environment.

  • Support students' daily needs, including personal care, playtime, and educational trips, as part of a collaborative team.

  • Progress your own personal development through continued training and fully funded courses.

You Must Have…

  • Relevant prior experience working with children or individuals with autism/disabilities within similar roles

  • Resilience and flexibility in a changing and challenging environment with learners who have autism and a range of support needs.

  • Committed and dedicated individual with a can-do attitude.

  • Able to provide your own transportation due to the school's remote location.

  • Eligibility to work in the UK.

  • The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check.

Ideally You Will Have…

  • Minimum Grade C/4 GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths. An Early Years qualification is a plus.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
