Summary

• To provide Assistant Psychology support to the Complex Emotional Needs and Primary care Network (0.7) and also provide support (0.3) to the Principle Psychologist within the Specialist community Forensic Service.

• The Band 4 Assistant Psychologist will support the delivery of therapeutic interventions, both groups and individual under the supervision of the Principal Psychologist.

Clinical

Assist multidisciplinary colleagues in delivering individual and group therapeutic interventions.

Supportthe formulation and delivery of care plansaddressing service users’psychologicalneeds.

Attendand contribute tomultidisciplinaryandotherrelevant clinical meetings.

Communicatesensitivelyand professionallywith service users, families,carers, professionals andpartneragencies.

Teaching, Training and Supervision

Receiveregular clinical supervision inlinewith professional practiceguidance.

Comply with relevant HCPC, BPS and DCP standards, codes and professional guidance.

Maintain high professional standards through agreed internal and external continuing professional development.

Develop the skills and competencies required for the role.

Contributeto the training and support of staffprovidingpsychological care.

Management, Recruitment, Policy and Service Development

Supportthe design and implementation of service-development projectsand contribute to associated planning meetings.

Participatein Primary Care Integrated Mental HealthHubbusiness and professional meetings,and Psychological Professionsmeetings.

Research and Service Evaluation

Support audit, research and service-evaluation projects, including data collection, analysis and report writing using appropriate IT and statistical tools.

Reviewevidence-based literature tosupportqualified clinical psychologistsand the wider teamin evidence-based practice.
