Summary

STEEL FABRICATOR WELDER – TEMP TO PERM

Location: Bilston area

Contract: 12-week temp-to-perm

Pay: Up to £17.85 per hour + enhanced overtime

Shift: Days or Afternoons – fixed shift, no rotation

Owen Payne Recruitment are recruiting experienced Steel Fabricator Welders to join the expanding team of a leading manufacturing business in the Bilston area.

If you’re an experienced fabricator looking for your next opportunity, this could be the perfect chance to join a growing team with the opportunity to secure a permanent position after 12 weeks.

You’ll play an important role in fabricating and welding mechanical components, products and structures using a range of tools and equipment, ensuring all work meets high industry standards.

HOURS OF WORK

Days:

• Monday to Thursday: 07:00–15:45

• Friday: 07:00–13:00

RATE OF PAY

• £17.85 per hour

• Enhanced overtime rates

THE ROLE

As a Steel Fabricator Welder, your responsibilities will include:

• Fabricating highway products and infrastructure to specifications and industry standards

• Carrying out MIG welding as required

• Operating an overhead crane to safely lift, move and position materials

• Reading and interpreting technical drawings

• Inspecting finished products to ensure they meet required quality standards

• Carrying out routine checks and basic maintenance on welding and fabrication equipment

• Following all Health & Safety procedures

• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment

• Supporting with additional duties as required

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• Previous Steel Fabrication experience

• Previous MIG Welding experience

• The ability to read and interpret technical drawings

• Experience operating overhead cranes

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality

• Good knowledge of Health & Safety practices within a fabrication environment
