This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in general practice. Previous experience working in a GP surgery is essential, we useSystmOne clinical system. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play an important role in providing a professional, caring, and efficient service, ensuring patients receive the support and assistance they need. Main Duties and Responsibilities Welcome patients and visitors in a friendly, professional, and compassionate manner. Answer telephone calls promptly and deal with patient enquiries courteously and efficiently. Book, amend, and cancel appointments using the practice clinical system. Receive and process prescription requests in accordance with practice procedures. Signpost patients to the most appropriate clinician or service. Maintain accurate patient records while ensuring strict confidentiality at all times. Carry out general administrative duties including scanning, filing, photocopying, and document management. Work closely with GPs, nurses, and the wider practice team to support the smooth running of the practice. Help maintain a welcoming, safe, and organised reception environment.
