Summary
I'm working with a leading
Tier 1 infrastructure contractor delivering a major highways improvement scheme and looking to appoint a
Health, Safety & Wellbeing Advisor to join the project team on a temporary basis.
This contract would last a
minimum 3 months, with a strong likelihood of extension to the
middle of 2027.
Working alongside the Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager, you'll be a visible presence on site, supporting operational teams, subcontractors and stakeholders whilst driving a positive safety culture across the project.
The Role
You'll be responsible for:
- Providing practical health, safety and wellbeing advice to project teams
- Undertaking site inspections, audits and behavioural observations
- Supporting accident, incident and near miss investigations
- Reviewing and advising on RAMS
- Monitoring safety performance and producing reports
- Maintaining the project competency matrix
- Supporting subcontractor assessment and appointment
- Delivering inductions, toolbox talks and safety training
- Promoting behavioural safety and workforce engagement initiatives
- Supporting interactions with the HSE and other regulatory bodies
What They're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years' Health & Safety experience
- NEBOSH Construction or NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
- Experience within construction, civil engineering, infrastructure or another high-hazard environment
- GradIOSH, AIEMA or equivalent desirable
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Full UK driving licence
