General Operative
Full-time (37 Hours) – Permanent
Grade A2 -£27,274 - £29,071 per annum
North Kesteven District Council is seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Waste & Street Scene team. This post based at the Council’s Metheringham Depot.
Job Requirements:
• C2 entitlement to drive a 12t vehicle occasionally, regular vehicle is 7.5t
• Experience of a range of manual work including lifting, transportation, the use of equipment and powered tools.
• Experience of working outdoor in all weather conditions including some unpleasant / dirty aspects to work.
Key Responsibilities:
• To proactively deliver the Councils General Labour Service.
• To deliver efficient and effective manual support to all divisions of the Council.
• To maintain successful relationships with internal and external customers.
Key Attributes:
• Team player
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills
• Experience of adhering to procedures including Health & Safety
• Willingness to learn.
• Requirement to work outside of normal hours when required.
Seasonal working
Summer: Mon – Thurs 06:30 - 14:30; Fri 06:30 - 14:00
Winter: Mon – Thurs 07:00 - 15:00; Fri 07:00 - 14:30
