Background

The Department for Business and Trade has established the Strategic Sites Accelerator programme, which will assist, accelerate and acquire strategic investment sites for Industrial or commercial use across the UK. This ambitious programme will enable the delivery of the Industrial Strategy and support the government's economic growth agenda. We are currently at a critical stage, working with the National Wealth Fund to select and transact on our first few sites, finalise an investment strategy, and navigate complex requirements including subsidy control, FT rules, and co-ordinating multiple public actors.

  • Lead on designing and finalising a robust investment strategy alongside the National Wealth Fund that maximises economic impact and aligns with government priorities
  • Contribute significantly to the overall asset management strategy and fund design, including CDEL FT investment products
  • Coordinate and drive forward key workstreams including procurement, market engagement, site selection and investment strategy
  • Provide senior leadership to the programme team, building capability and ensuring effective delivery
  • Manage relationships with senior stakeholders across government, industry and local partners
  • Support ministers in making key strategic decisions about the programme
