Within Working Age Services Digital, we are responsible for several existing services which support the core of society and is the department’s highest profile benefit service, Universal Credit.

Working Age Services is undergoing a period of technical change in line with our technical strategy – aiming to become more consistent in our ways of working, more standardised in our technical stacks, and transforming some of our services and monolithic architectures into microservices.
Our Senior Software Engineers lead and set the strategy as well as build our products and applications with researchers, testers, architects, analysts and designers as part of multifunctional agile delivery teams.

As a Senior Software Engineers, you will:

- Promote and support the following of best practice and guide our teams on how to deliver quality software products.
- Help design and support the strategies for building reusable libraries and services.
- Support Software Engineering teams providing technical leadership and guidance.
