Summary
Nursery Practitioner – Level 2 or Level 3
£28,000–£32,000 per year | 40–45 Hours per Week | Term Time
This welcoming nursery offers light-filled, homely rooms filled with thoughtfully chosen resources, creating an environment where children feel comfortable, curious and ready to learn. Its play-based curriculum brings together the EYFS with elements of Montessori philosophy, encouraging independence, choice and hands-on discovery while supporting each child’s individual development.
As a Nursery Practitioner, you’ll help create meaningful everyday experiences that allow children to learn through play, follow their interests and develop at their own pace.
What We’re Looking For
A
full and relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification
Previous experience within a nursery or Early Years setting
Good knowledge of the
EYFS and child development
An understanding of play-based and child-led learning
An interest in
Montessori-inspired practice would be beneficial
Confidence encouraging children’s independence, curiosity and decision-making
A warm, nurturing and engaging approach
Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection

Your Role
Provide high-quality care and learning experiences throughout the nursery day
Support a curriculum that blends the EYFS with Montessori-inspired principles
Create opportunities for children to explore, make choices and learn independently
Plan engaging experiences around children’s interests and developmental needs
Make creative use of the nursery’s resources and learning environments
Observe children’s progress and support meaningful next steps
Build positive relationships with children and their families
Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a warm and welcoming setting
Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and wellbeing
