Summary
A Vacancy at Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust.
An exciting opportunity has arisen foran assistant psychology post to work with the Lancashire and South Cumbria Early Intervention in Psychosis service, specifically to support clinicians in the delivery of evidence based interventions, including Psychosocial Interventions (PSI) and Behavioural Family Therapy for service users experiencing a First Episode of Psychosis or At Risk Mental State (ARMS).
This is a fixed term contract for 12 months.
We are looking for a highly organised and motivated individual, with an interest in working with people with psychosis or at risk mental states. You will be working as part of a team of clinical psychologists and cognitive behavioural therapists, primarily supporting the delivery of psychosocial and family interventions in community teams. Main duties will include supporting the delivery and evaluation of interventions, attending group supervision, MDT case discussions, literature searching and audit work.
You will be joining a dynamic and busy team with a range of psychologists and CBT therapists, working alongside an MDT of psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, STR workers and peer support workers.
Clinical supervision is integral to this post and to the service. It affords an excellent opportunity for the post holder to develop their skills and knowledge in PSI, family interventions and CBT for psychosis and ARMS.
As an assistant psychologist you will be supporting the delivery of family intervention and PSI work for service users experiencing a first episode of psychosis or an at risk mental state.
The successful candidates will work with service users predominantly who have experienced an episode of psychosis, or who are thought to be at risk of developing psychosis.
Supervision is an integral part of this role and you will be supported with regular access to supervision by a consistent colleague in the team.
It is desirable to have an interest in working with people experiencing psychosis and at risk mental states.
