Summary

SEND Teacher – Long-term supply across Thetford and surrounding areas, starting as soon as possible

These flexible opportunities are ideal for SEND teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You’ll be supporting pupils with a range of additional needs in mainstream and specialist provisions, helping to create inclusive and engaging learning environments.

Duties as SEND Teacher:

Deliver high-quality teaching and learning to pupils with SEND across various schools
Adapt lessons to meet individual needs and EHCP targets
Collaborate with support staff and SENCOs to ensure effective provision
Maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment
Provide feedback and contribute to pupil progress reviews
Uphold safeguarding and behaviour policies consistently

Ideal SEND Teacher:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience working with children with SEND in mainstream or specialist settings
Strong understanding of differentiation and inclusive teaching strategies
Excellent communication and classroom management skills as a SEND Teacher
Flexible, reliable, and confident working across different schools
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
