Summary

SEND Teacher – Long-term supply across Thetford and surrounding areas, starting as soon as possible

 These flexible opportunities are ideal for SEND teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You’ll be supporting pupils with a range of additional needs in mainstream and specialist provisions, helping to create inclusive and engaging learning environments.

Duties as SEND Teacher:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning to pupils with SEND across various schools
  • Adapt lessons to meet individual needs and EHCP targets
  • Collaborate with support staff and SENCOs to ensure effective provision
  • Maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment
  • Provide feedback and contribute to pupil progress reviews
  • Uphold safeguarding and behaviour policies consistently

Ideal SEND Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience working with children with SEND in mainstream or specialist settings
  • Strong understanding of differentiation and inclusive teaching strategies
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills as a SEND Teacher
  • Flexible, reliable, and confident working across different schools
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
