Summary

Job description: Northlands Wood Practice is a friendly practice in Haywards Heath, Mid Sussex. We are part of the Haywards Heath Villages Primary Care Network. We are a GP training practice. We are looking for an additional Practice Nurse to grow our nursing team. The vacancy is flexible and could be part time or fulltime. You would also be expected to help cover holidays and sickness for other members of the nursing team. The ideal candidate will be dynamic and highly motivated, preferably with general practice experience, although this is not essential. You will be NMC registered with strong interpersonal and communication skills and it is imperative you are a team player. Key duties include Cervical Cytology Wound care and dressings Chronic disease management (Diabetes, COPD & Asthma) Routine and child immunisations INR blood testing Travel vaccinations ECGs Knowledge and understanding of QOF Knowledge and experience of working within the framework of Locally Commissioned Services and Direct Enhanced Services Northlands Wood is a busy but friendly practice with an incredibly supportive and professional team. Our patient population is younger than average for the area. You will thrive under pressure, working quickly and accurately, and interact well with our patients, many of whom attend regularly. You will be a team player, reliable and an effective communicator. We are System One practice using INR Star but full training will be given. 25 days holiday per year (pro-rata) plus bank holidays, NHS pension scheme (subject to eligibility) and a great working environment.
