Summary

Desian Education are proud to be working in partnership with an extremely inclusive and supportive mainstream primary school in Chester, which is easily accessible via public transport.

The school are looking to appoint an experienced, reliable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their welcoming EYFS team, supporting pupils across both Pre-School and Reception.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an EYFS-experienced Teaching Assistant to join a nurturing school environment where you can play a key role in supporting children through the important early stages of their education.

Your New Role:

Working closely with the Pre-School and Reception class teachers, you will help create a positive, engaging and nurturing learning environment, ensuring every pupil is supported to reach their full academic, social and developmental potential.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting teaching and learning across Pre-School and Reception.

• Planning and delivering phonics interventions using the Read Write Inc. (RWI) scheme.

• Using learning through play to promote social, emotional and developmental skills.

• Implementing positive behaviour strategies, including positive reinforcement and Now & Next approaches.

• Supporting pupils to develop their confidence, communication and independence.

• Tracking pupil progress through learning journeys.

• Recognising and recording key developmental milestones.

• Working collaboratively with class teachers to identify and meet individual pupil needs.

• Building positive relationships with pupils and contributing to a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment.
