*** 1:1 and small group academic support across either KS1 or KS2

The Role:

Deliver 1:1 and small group support across either KS1 or KS2, helping pupils strengthen core skills in English and Maths. You will reinforce lesson content, support children who need extra guidance, prepare simple resources, and keep teachers updated on progress. Teaching assistants commonly support the class teacher and help pupils with reading, writing, and wider learning activities.

The Candidate:

You are patient, clear, and able to explain things in a way younger pupils understand. You want hands-on classroom experience, enjoy helping children grow in confidence, and are keen to build the practical skills needed for a future in teaching. Primary school work gives strong exposure to children’s educational, social, and emotional development between ages 3 and 11.

Requirements

- Degree – A 2:2 or above in any subject.

- Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication.

- Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.

- Desire to work in education/with children – Genuine interest in supporting pupil progress and wellbeing.

- Career Goals – A desire to train as a teacher and build a long-term career in education.
