Hays Education is currently recruiting enthusiastic and skilled Design & Technology Teachers to work across a range of secondary schools in North London. Due to increasing demand from our partner schools, we are looking for qualified DT specialists who are available for daily supply, short-term cover and long-term teaching assignments.

We welcome applications from teachers with experience in any DT specialism, including Product Design, Resistant Materials, Engineering, Graphics, Food Technology and Construction.

Your new role

As a Supply DT Teacher, you will:

Deliver engaging Design & Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 in some schools.

Inspire creativity, innovation and practical problem-solving skills.

Maintain excellent classroom and workshop management.

Adapt quickly to different school environments and departmental structures.

Ensure a safe and productive learning environment in practical teaching spaces.

What you'll need to succeed

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

Experience teaching Design & Technology within UK secondary schools.

Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.

Excellent subject knowledge in one or more DT disciplines.

An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one through Hays.
